Biography




Eva Lindqvist-Silberbauer first studied piano (performance & pedagogy) at the Vienna University of Music. After receiving her Masters degree, she went on to train as classical singer with Tamar Rachum at the Rubin Music Academy in Tel Aviv.

Masterclasses with Hilde Zadek, Sena Jurinac and Ileana Cotrubas as well intensive study of the "Swedish-Italian School" with Maestro David Jones in New York followed, which helped complete her training as an opera singer.

Ms Lindqvist has performed in concerts and productions throughout Europe and Israel. She has sang recitals in Vienna, Bratislava, Wiesbaden and Tel Aviv. In Israel, she sang the two different Elektras from Mozart’s "Idomeneo" and Strauss’ “Elektra”. In Karlsruhe she performed Freia in Wagner's "Rheingold" and under Maestro Gustav Kunh Brünnhilde in "Götterdämmerung".

Her repertoire runs the full gamut of Wagnerian roles, from Freia ("Rheingold') to Elisabeth ("Tannhäuser"), from Sieglinde ("The Walkyries”) to Ortrud ("Lohengrin") and Brünnhilde ("Götterdämmerung"). Standard dramatic soprano roles such as Marie from "Wozzek”, Turandot, Elektra and Salome also feature in her repertoire.

In her viennese vocal studio Eva Lindqvist also works with young singers. Here young singers get an intensive voice technical education and preparation for auditions. Eva Lindqvist also works with singers that suffer from vocal problems and helps them to overcome their crisis.
