The Method

“The Swedish-Italian School” :

The technique taught by Eva Lindqvist in her Vienna voice studio is based on the "Swedish-Italian School", which was developed by Alan Lindqvest, student of Manuel Garcia, Inge Börg-Iséne (teacher of Kirsten Flagstad) and Joseph Hislop (first teacher of Jussi Björling).

Maestro David Jones, with whom Eva Lindqvist has a close working relationship, uses his extensive knowledge of this technique to successfully connect back to the "Old School of Singing".

“Coaching” :

Experienced coaches support singers during their studies.

“Studio concerts & Video teaching” :

Miss Lindqvist employs the aid of studio concerts as a teaching aid. These concerts are recorded on video and then later analyzed together with each student. Lessons learned during these sessions can then be transferred and practiced in a “safe environment”.

“The philosophy of teaching” :

"The best voice school is of little help to the student without an innate joy of vocal expression, which is quite apart from vocal technique. I therefore find it very important to create a secure and supporting environment in my studio so that the student feels encouraged to vocally develop with as much freedom and joy as possible.”
(Eva Lindqvist, asked about her teaching ideals)
